Tesla wrap PNG checker
Find out why a wrap won’t show up in Toybox → Paint Shop. Drop your image to check it against Tesla’s rules, then fix it in one click. Everything runs in your browser, so your file is never uploaded.
What Paint Shop requires
A PNG made for your model
Each model and version has its own template. A wrap made for the 2025 Model Y won’t line up on an older Model Y, so check which vehicle a design fits before you download it.
The right size
Use a PNG between 512×512 and 1024×1024 pixels, no larger than 1 MB. Downloads from WrapLoom already meet this.
A simple file name
Keep the name to 30 characters or fewer, using only letters, numbers, spaces, underscores and dashes.
Up-to-date software
Custom wraps need recent car software. Uploading from your phone needs Tesla app v4.59.0 or later.
Troubleshooting
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The check and the fix both run in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.
My file passes, but the wrap looks wrong on the car. Why?
The artwork also has to follow the template for your exact model and version. The body is unfolded into flat panels, and anything outside them doesn’t show. Start from the template for your car, or design in the WrapLoom editor, which uses the right template for you.
Why does my wrap look stretched?
Paint Shop maps the image onto a square template, so a wide or tall image gets squeezed to fit. Use a square image, or let the fix place it on a square canvas.
Want a wrap that’s ready to load?
Every design in the WrapLoom gallery already meets these rules. Pick one for your model, or start from an official template.
